Is it still possible to buy a hard copy/download of Adobe Photoshop CS6? I do not want to get involved in the "cloud!" I presently have the Creative Suite 4. Cheers

I'm an avid PS CC user and I question the wisdom of not spending $10/month for the whole LR/PS CC package...

is considerably cheaper than the upgrade costs that was used in times past.

I would rather buy it outright. I do no t want any of my work up in the air .Paying by the month is not suitable for me! Cheers

I am pretty sure there are other options rather than monthly, ie, quarterly, half yearly, yearly etc. The problem is not with obtaining a copy of CS6 but rather in purchasing the license although I think you can still obtain a license from Adobe, best go to their site and see what is available.. It seems to me that your up in the air comment suggests that you are confused or maybe misinformed about "the cloud". Only work that you choose to upload to your online storage account is stored on adobe's servers, which can be none at all if that's what you choose. You are still working from your desktop. The programs are downloaded to your pc just as with a disc it is just that all updates are available to you immediately, and automatically if you want, not when the next release comes out, also there is content that just is not available on disc.

Personally I think the subscription method is a great thing, in the end it saves Adobe a lot of money in disc production which means they can offer us, their customers, a better deal.A real no-brainer if you ask me.

I came across some sellers who are selling full versions Photoshop CS6 thru some retailers like Amazon and such but would make sure these are legit copies because their asking prices are steep and regretfully there are many fakes out there.

yes you need to make sure the license has been deactivated so it can be transferred to you when buying used/outdated software

Ok. I have checked out the CC versions. I might look at an annual payment option. I guess I was misinformed about the cloud. Many thanks for all your replies. Cheers

Does anyone know if I  can install CC CS6 on another hard drive other than my C:/. My operating system drive has only 20 gigs left and has a runtime on it that gets added to regularly. I have several USB drives attached that have hundred of gigs free. Cheers

Hello arrow1

I have tried in the past installing Photoshop on other drives and never worked really well. Also since I saw another of your post about Daz Studio and the Photoshop bridge plugin currently the Daz Photoshop bridge plug in is not supported in Photoshop CC just a FYI I am sure eventually Daz will fix that but it has not as of yet
