Subject: Field Rows

I have the Field Rows clip file.  I tried to insert it like it do the Crack Shader but it doesn't seem to work for me.  The file does not have a "read me" for any tips on using.  Can someone help me, please?

not knowing what your setup is, a single shape shader should do it. if not let me know

Not understanding.  This is a clip file I got at NWDA.   It is the Field Rows shader. It makes the surface like a field of corn or something (farm-like).   I thought I would connect it the same way I do the Crack Shader  (under the base colors and connected to the surface layer) but that didn't work or at least not that I am seeing.

I did the above (without the fake stones).  If I connect the SSS to the blending connection of the Surface layers ...I have two.....and to the Field Rows, all my surface colors go away.

I am missing something here.

1st - Make sure your slopes and altitudes in the field rows shader are not in the negative. 2nd be careful  that you’re not burying the row displacements with other layers. If you have additional layers on top of that node your just covering the rows. If the altitudes and slopes are above the surface level than you will need to increase the row depth in the internal network Click on the + on the Field Rows shader node than increase the lift rows blue node in the internal network

Can't seem to figure it out.  Will just put it in the pile of other things like that and return to it another time.   On to something else.

Thanks for the replies.

Never gdid get it to work.  I got up closer as I am sure that was a big part of the problem, but still did not get it.  Will work on in another time.    Thanks.

This got me making a piece using this method w/ SSS, I will send it over to you once I complete it since we both have the file, take a look at it. It might help you out a bit
