3D Modeling F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Mar 28 12:08 pm)
I have added new ones, including recently one for saving BMP files from Dogwaffle. WHen you save the usual way from the File/Save menu, it will most typically end up as a 32-bit image, with alpha channel. That won't work in anim8or, so you can either load it in Irfanview and resave it as 24 bit (automgically). Or you can save it differently from Dogwaffle. There are several ways to save a BMP file, at least two will save as 24-bit images.

This then is a BMP that you can use in anim8or (and possibly Bryce and other 3D tools) as a texture channel like for Bump, diffuse and others.

Hey there, I am starting to use Anim8or and creating tutorials to share the knowledge. Some modeling tutes coming, some with focus on using the results of rendering or animations in Project Dogwaffle, such as for animbrushes, or for further postwork and compositions. If you're interested check http://www.thebest3d.com/anim8or and if you have some good tutorials of your own about Anim8or with focus on modeling, I'd love to hear about it.
