 Delays delays and more delays
 By: croxie

I miss photography big time. And I had no idea that my average day would be so empty without it. Maybe this is a bit worse since I'm also waiting for the opportunity to buy the Nikon D200. I held it and tried it out with different lenses a few weeks ago (before the surgeries) and fell like a rock.  . . . [View Full]

 Black Friday!
 By: deemarie

What happened to winter? This is the first November I can recall, getting up at 4:30 in the morning (for Opening Day of Shopping Season), and no snow ... not a flake! I walked to the garage, eyes glued upward, mouth open wide as I gazed at a sky filled with stares. I am not a stranger to getting . . . [View Full]

 Editing is Never-Ending
 By: deemarie

It is mid-morning Thanksgiving, and I have just come to the conclusion that the closer I am to finishing the final edits and rewrites to my novel, the more desperate I feel that I shall never finish the edits and rewrites. I have been pounding away on my laptop since 5 am, I am still in my flann . . . [View Full]

I love Rankin-Bass holiday movies.  Probably more than is healthy.  So, when I got "The Year Without A Santa Claus" last year for Christmas from my Mother In Law, I was absolutely exstatic.  And, well, the included bonuses of Rudolph's Shiny New Year and Nester the Long-Eared Christma . . . [View Full]

 More then I can handle

You know, I keep buying stuff, that I want. Because I know I can make beautiful renders with them. But I just keep on buying loads, without having the time to even start exploring them or being able to render it. So it just sits there. Hardly sounds logical eh? Guess it's just in the eye of the  . . . [View Full]

There's been some complications lately that made me inactive around here for some time. And that still applies. On October 17 I went in to do a gallbladder removal. A fairly simple procedure these days that is done with keyhole surgery. Afterwards everything seemed to be just fine, and I was disc . . . [View Full]

 Thank God For Dogs!
 By: deemarie

God created dogs to teach people about unconditional love. Just yesterday, I was having a very bad day. I was not feeling well; I was in a lot of physical pain. Consequently, I was feeling very sorry for myself. Pity parties are the worst social gatherings. In the best scenario, you are the only gue . . . [View Full]

"If I Did It." Has been canceled...
 By: Acadia

The other day I posted that O.J. Simpson was penning a book called "If I Did It." A book where he was talking about how he would have "hypothetically" have murdered his wife and her friend, if he had done it. There was to be an interview on Fox tonight where he was going to be talking about his  . . . [View Full]

Almost 20 years behind a computer screen doing things that don't make a difference in anyone's life, including my own. Bored out of my skull, maybe I'm just having an early midlife crisis. The Army is looking more like a reality. All that remains is to take my physical (MEPS; the army has an acro . . . [View Full]

 I'm Thirsty
 By: Acadia

It's 2:14 am and I'm thirsty...and hungry! But I can't eat or drink anything because I have to go for blood tests in the morning. Now it wouldn't be so bad because I should be sleeping right now and therefore not aware of thirst or hunger. However I wasn't feeling very well yesterday and was rea . . . [View Full]

This is in response to awayne2's comment. Thanks for the positive feedback Wayne about Amy. ( see http://miamedia.com/tesla ) We need more realism and more emotion than Amy posesses now, and i have seen some examples of this online. Yes, Amy is state of the art, but we want to push the en . . . [View Full]
