Digital art is a ‘second half of my life-career change’ for me and I finally feel as though I am doing what I am supposed to be doing with my life. Prior to digital art I worked as a licensed makeup-artist/trainer for over 30 years. Understanding color has always sort of been easy and natural for me. Certified in both color-analysis and image consulting, I am a mother, a grandmother and have also worked in the past as a solo vocalist. My late father and his mother were both commercial artists.
Some might call me a 'late-bloomer' to the digi-art world. I got married at age 19, and the first half of my life has been devoted to almost 40 years of living with the same man and raising our two sons...but I did win my first coloring contest when I was just six years old! It wasn’t until my boys were just about grown that I discovered digital art-which has changed my life!
Revealing my art work to others has been a slow process for me since I'm a perfectionist. (which can be both a blessing & a curse) Most of what I know about Photoshop has been an ongoing process of self-teaching/experimenting/trial & error. I have only been at this for a few years now.
I made the decision to start out by working as a broker/partner with others for a while (till I decide if I ever even want to have my own commercial site) I was a good customer at Renderosity prior to becoming a vendor and had always enjoyed myself whenever I came to visit!
Getting up every day and being excited about your ‘job’ is a dream come true for me! I enjoy being a vendor at Renderosity-especially because of the wonderful feedback I receive from all of you. I am so thankful! Many feel that my specialty is Photoshop Layer Styles and am probably best known for my gem/jewel/bling styles and creations. I also offer some texture and jewel packs. Along with Seamless background overlays and brushes. I still have much learning and growing to do as an artist! When the time comes that I can't learn anymore, I guess I will be dead. :)
