YAY! Can't wait! LOVE the holidays! How Exciting!!
Halloween is always my favorite contest, but this one is fun too. May the snow elves be with all of you that enter.
MY PERFECT HOLIDAY sounds like a great theme... HOWEVER....on the front page as I'm typing (November 23erd, 2010, you are saying this years theme is:
A HOLIDAY TO REMEMBER
which theme are you going with?
just thought I'd let ya know, some of us are paying attention - lol

Probably should have specified My Perfect Christmas.....for some the perfect holiday could be 4th of July.....or Thanksgiving....etc......
Lots of room for interpretation on which holiday to select.
Lots of room for images to not get chosen, because someone felt it didn't fall into the theme.
Just a bit confused. Is 3D art and 3D animation in the same category? I thought they were different categories last year. SO you can only submit ONE picture OR One animation, not one of either? And pictures have to compete against animations? It looks like it's a shared category and both upload to the same place!
I think with the new flash presentation at the top of the home page, the contest was hidden. I'm familiar with the contest dropping down to the bottom of the page but some won't take the time to scroll down. Also, when you do click on the link for the contest at the bottom of the page, you have to hunt down the linked page to FIND the catagories - some people just don't figure that out. I love looking at the entrees and I think you would see our better artist in on the contest if you put a simple link at top, in the futrue that says ENTER CONTEST. The prizes for most look great, but, if you want to hook your top artists, that $100 gift card should go into the 1st place catagory, because if their art is good enough to take first, they just may have ALL those programs - AND EVERYONE COULD USE THAT $100 GIFT CERTIFICAT - just an idea.... I enjoy your contests and am just trying to suggest what may pull in more entrees and the better artists.... I don't know if this is possible, but it sure would be GREAT, instead of voting once for the best, have the page set up to where the VOTER could RANK all the entrees - When you put all the rankings together, the better art would have a greater chance winning instead of many friends voting for a favorite artist.... another suggest IF you were able to do a RANKING instead of a vote,artists should be incouraged to sign their work. = Through the years, I've seen some great pieces and would love to view these artist's galleries and have no idea who did the art.
I really do hope these suggestions make you excited and we may see them in the future. Thank You for puting the Holiday Contests together - I look forward to this time every year.
