Who is renapd? I was born in Greece but always
considered USA as my second home. A Napoleon High/Ohio graduate
-class of 77, where I was an Exchange Student plus a few more years
during my first marriage in Faurt Lauderdale,Florida. I've traveled
all over the world thanks to my long career as a PA in Professional
Sound but I gave all that up a couple of years ago to dedicate
myself in my dream - creating full time for Poser and staying home!
Addictions can be risky but I took my chances and I don't regret
it! I'm happilly married for 20 years and the proud mother of five
sons - but don't get fooled, I've always been the man of the house!
:) People who know me well describe me as stubborn, dedicated,
Mediterranean, loyal friend, always an optimist and a dreamer who
easily fires up thanks to my Mediterranean tempter but too easy to
forgive and forget as well! How long have you have you been
involved in digital art? I became involved with digital art
by accident in 1997! I downloaded a free pak of Bryce wall papers
and I was fascinated by what I saw. I bought the application the
very next day! But landscapes can get easily boring without people
to populate your scenes..so eventually I discovered Poser 2 and I
got hooked for life! :) What are you currently working
on? Costumes have always been my fetish! Thanks to Thomas
Hauge (thip) and his endless patience with my outrageous demands -
we have created a line of RT-costumes that are classics. Right now
we're in the process of bringing to life the Russian ladies that
will accompany the Hussars. We have planned the clothing carefully
so the outcome will cover all Eras - from Imperial peasants and
aristocracy to contemporary stage lady dancers. I admit that I just
can't wait to see the final part of their accessories.. the hats
I've designed for poor Thomas are a true modeling challenge! But he
never fails me! :) What software do you use and why?
When it comes to texturing I'm an unorthodox! I hate PhotoShop and
I always use Corel's Photopaint. It was the graphics application I
first got involved with in the office and I've always believed that
one should stick to what he knows best without mysteries in the
interface! I can work in Photopaint even with my eyes closed so why
give in to standards? Makes no sense to me! Besides Poser and
Photopaint,UVmapper Pro and 3Dexploration are always open at the
same time too as I'm impatient and I want to have a sneak preview
of how the work flow goes! :) Where do you find inspiration
for your products? Mostly in true Art! I love studying
paintings & statues of all eras, imagine how a rich outfit like
that would look in Poser. When I want to relax I just surf around
galleries and museums and never walk away without half a dozen of
new ideas! Do you have any advice for aspiring Digital
Content Developers? I most certainly do! Be patient and
never compromise to do what you think will sell well fast.. get
involved in projects that you love doing! Once inspired you put
your heart in your work and the best of you comes out.. that's
priceless! Eventually clients will have to be blind not to notice
the difference! How has this online community (Renderosity)
enhanced your work, relationships, and learning? The
'Rosity community has been my home since I got involved with Poser
- I still recall the days the site was just a few purple and white
pages with lots of free magical downloads! :) I met my best friend
right here online in Renderosity and I was lucky enough she turned
out to be a neighbor. I was privileged to meet Jim Moore, an
extraordinary person till the day he died a few years ago. We never
met in person but I knew his soul and I'll always recall him as one
of the most incredible people I came across in life. I met my
mentor Paul Hafelli who tutored me privately in almost anything I
know about lights, posing and gallery images! Dozens and dozens of
others that stay close to my heart up to this very date and they
are True Family although we know we'll never meet! I believe that's
an incredible, magical bond that can't be found in any other place
but here! Do you have any final words? Sure.. I can't
think of any better Birthday present than the one you've just given
me guys - I was born on July 2nd! :)
