We congratulate Vlad for an outstanding collection of works in the 2D Gallery! Who is 'jude1984'? My name is Vladimir Moldavsky, and I am from Odessa, Ukraine. How long have you been working with computer graphics? I have been working with computer graphics for a few years (maybe since 2004) and it's my hobby. I have another business. Do you have traditional art experience? I had some traditional images, but only as sketches for digital painting. I make them by pencil.
What are you currently working on? My ideas often come to me within senseless movements by pencil...that`s why I have no current plans for artworks. What software/equipment do you use and why? I use Windows XP, Wacom CTE 440, my painting software is Twisted Brush and Photoshop CS2. Sometimes I had tried to add 3D modelling by 3DS Max and Maya, but now I use only a very little touch of Autodesk Inventor for some modelled parts of images. And full artwork made basically by planshet painting.
What do you think your best piece of work is and why? My best pictures are named "The Route" and "The Games in Vacuum", because I put my most intimate thoughts into these images: thoughts of God, love and separation, friendship and treason. With your work in the "surreal" genre, what is it that draws you to this form of expression? I think that only surrealism can express not only items, images or landscapes (even very well painted), but thoughts and dreams. Who, or what, inspires you, and how do you get your ideas? I am inspired by all well-known grands of surrealism: Paul Whitehead, Roger Dean, Mark Wilkinson and Bernard Dumaine. I am inspired by all classic and progressive rock of the 70-80s. How has this online community (Renderosity) enhanced your work, relationships, and learning? Renderosity is the first community were I posted my works! Do you have any parting comments, or advice for other artists? I would like to comment on many works in the community, but unfortunately my English is not so good.
