How did you get started in 3D Graphics? I started 3D Graphics by means of my firend "Pretty3D" who is a well-konown merchant at Renderosity. He was working on these works before and I was interested in. But one day we discovered Renderosity, then I decided to begin more seriously. How long have you been working with 3D Graphics? I cannot say my starting date exactly but I think I've been working nearly for 3 years and my first upload at Renderosity at November 2003. Do you have any formal training? Actually, my real job and my education is so different. I'm a geological engineer and I don't have a formal training about 3D Graphics. But I spent so many nights at my pc with my books and tutorials from the internet. What software do you use for product development? Adobe Photoshop and 3DS Max are the main softwares that I use for product development. Besides, I use some helper programs like Mat Pose Edit, Morph Manager, UVmapper, Wordpad etc. While the phase of transfering my products to the Poser, I'm using Poser Pro Pack. Then I test the products at Poser 5 and Poser 6. How much time is required for product development? It takes different periods according to the product content. Some very special products may take longer time because of rich content or details. But I would say a product development takes average 10 days. I'm loosing most of the time with the details but I receive response back :) Can you give a brief overview of your development cycle for a new product? My idea about the product is usually be ready. Because I always note all the ideas which flash in my mind in the daily life for products. Even we're making brain storms sometimes with my friends or with my wife. So I don't have any trouble for the idea. I usually make a work program before starting to produce and I try to respect this program. But I never be quick for respecting this working program and I never pass without being satisfied. Actually, I'm loosing too much time for this but on the other hand it provides me producing more detailed and quality product. I'm flexible about the subject of the product. I would make differences while I was working on it. After the product finished, I'm making so many renders for the promos. Then I design the promo page with the renders which I like. While I'm doing all these, I'm trying to take myself to buyer's place. Where does your inspiration come from when developing new products? It's flashing when I watching movie or TV, playing a game on pc or reading a magazine. Even while I'm walking on the street or shopping on the market. It may come at anytime in anywhere. But the best ones come in the bed just before sleeping :) My best inspiration sources are the movies and games. Do you have any advice for aspiring Digital Content Developers? This work needs too much labour and patient, especially at the beginning. So this may daunt you, but if you really want make this work, like with a passion and have enough talent then success comes by oneself. It is impossible to learn everything in this job. So we're always student and we may learn something new everyday. Don't stop learning. How has Renderosity's on-line community played a role in regards to your products, friendships and learning? This community played a big role for me to beginning this work. I've got a lot of friends from Renderosity and I've learned so many things from them. I can reach so many people all around the world and promote my works. Do you have any final words? Well, I want to thank my friend Pretty3D for his supports and friendship. I got involved in these job by means of him. And I got new visions. Thank you for all the customers. Their wonderful words encouraged and motivated me to produce better. I also want to say thank you to the all Renderosity workers especially Clint and Debb. They provide us this wonderful board which living 24 hours. Lastly, I want to thank to my dear wife. She always supported and encouraged me patiently while I was spending hours with my pc. So I've got a job that I like now and I determine my working time or my family time with my own. I honor to be Merchant of the Month and I wish 2006 brings happiness, health and success for all of us.
