The Renderosity Team is excited to announce a complete overhaul of our chat platform.

From its clean and user-friendly interface to the robust and flexible features our chat system now offers its users, we're confident that chat will now allow our community to communicate with confidence!

Below are some of the new features that you'll find available to you in chat.

Overview:

  • Extremely stable. No crashing (Chat Testers have remained logged in for days at a time)
  • Connection indicator shows you exactly when your connected or disconnected
  • New posts/clients highlight yellow for a brief time
  • Leaving clients highlight red for a brief time
  • Missed posts show a counter in the tab title
  • Markdown text formatting (Examples in help area)
  • Automatic link parsing (All links open new window)
  • Emoticons (150+ emoticons)
  • Shows time posted
  • Links around the Renderosity site
  • Help section with feedback form
  • Mentioning other clients via @USERNAME will show a highlighted message to the mentioned client.
  • Clicking a client's name by a post will put a mention in the text area
  • Auto scrolling if at bottom of chat window.
  • Very clean (easy to read) layout
  • Users can now block/unblock other users

Members in Chat:

  • Shows time joined
  • Link to profile
  • Badges (Vendor, Top Seller, Moderator, Admin)
  • Vendors have links to their stores
  • Avatars
  • Idle clients have zzz's next to their name
  • Client Actions (Private Chat, Mentions)
  • File upload in private messages

Images & Files:

  • Local image uploads
  • Local zip file uploads
  • Drop file on upload box to upload
  • External image links
  • Places thumbnail in chat (200x200) with a link to larger image (2000x2000)

Personalized Settings:

  • Sound packs available for different actions (Additional packs will soon be added)
  • Client leave/join posts option
  • Images as links option
  • Clear posts button
