Hmm, where do I begin? I suppose the start would be a good place! So I was born in a garrison town in the North of England, way back in December 1982. I have an older sister, and a younger brother, and we are all artists in some form or another. My sister prefers visual art, my brother is a musician, and me, well I like both. My step-dad brought us up to appreciate the finer things in life, and that does not always mean you have to spend money. Some of our favourite days were spent just out in the Yorkshire countryside, enjoying the landscapes, maybe listening to a bit of Queen or Status Quo in the car, and we all had our own cameras at a very young age. So art was always present in our lives, and we had reason to enjoy it.
So musically, I enjoy most types of music (not a big fan of R&B, or rap though) and I like a wide range of bands and artists. Among my favourites are Queen and Status Quo (betcha didn't see that one coming), Chris de Burgh, Chumbawamba, Shonen Knife, Alice Cooper, Ultravox, Russel Watson, Andrea Bocelli, Buddy Holly, Elvis Presley, Elvis Costello, David Bowie and Niko. See, I told you there's a wide range! In addition to listening to music, I also play the piano, french horn, guitar and penny-whistle, and I am a singer. I also write my own songs. :)
Well, that's obviously why I'm here, isn't it? I only really got into 3D art in March 2006, just before my triplets were born (more on them later). I don't know how, but I stumbled across Daz3D.com, and never looked back. With so much free stuff available back then (like A3, M3, V3, Emotiguy etc) and so much here in the freestuff section, it was easy to learn how to use stuff that other people had created to do my own works of art. The world of 3D art has such a sense of belonging about it, I'm amazed I hadn't found it before, but I'm glad I did!
Me at home
I am a mum of four adorable little children. First off there's Kayleigh-Beth, who was born in March 2005, and then Hermione, Scott and Melody who were born in April 2006. We all live with their dad on a council estate about a mile away from the hospital where I was born. We have three cats. We also have a fairly extensive DVD and VHS collection, but all we ever seem to watch is Harry Potter or Peter Pan. I can't complain though, because I find Alan Rickman, Gary Oldman, David Thewlis and Jason Isaacs to be rather lovely, and all are wonderful in the films I see them in so often.
