I'm a philosopher and occasional writer. Of course, there's no money in that, so I work as a file clerk at a hospital. There's no money in that either. Ho hum. Digital art is new to me, I began when I started to learn about web design and treated myself to a second hand copy of Poser 4 a while back - seeing as I couldn't draw people and I knew it could export flash.
I do enjoy card games and in particular, those played with tarot. Yes, you read right. For those who don't know, tarot cards were created for card games and are used for them throughout continental Europe. The games range in complexity and sophistication from the most basic (Scarto), to Ottocento, the king of all card games.
If you want to know more about tarot games, visit:
and the new site in progress...
I have big plans for the web site but limits to my time mean that they shall only be realised rather slowly, a bit at a time. At this moment, you can download a book of the games, browse the games on-line, and find a number of reviews of the cards used, along with links to stores where you can buy them
The text to the web-site, a little book called Tarocchi, is also available as a print on demand book at www.lulu.com - it is listed at a not for profit price, as this is a non-commercial project.
