I have had no formal education in the computer or art industries. Mostly self taught and gaining knowlegde from a computer group and exchanging information with friends.
My digital career began with the cutting edge Dallas Times Herald. The Herald was among the first newspapers and publishers to enter the digital age of production. Producing full page layouts, computer to film.
Coordination of the work flow and training the artist were my main obligation. It was really exciting to bring the artist from board paste up to the digital age. Not to be left out the beta testing of many new Macintosh Applications, and administration of the department.
At the closing of the Dallas Times Herald, my reputation gained me the respect in the industry to obtain the position as a technician in the Digital Production Dept. of Harper House. My duties there were many and grew into multi site Systems Administration.
Due to company restructuring I am no longer there.
Currently medical reasons prevent me from employment, so I do my best to get by on what I can do for the 3d Community.
A special thanks for encouragement and support of PureEnergy, pdxjims, Anton Kisiel and many others.
To be continued . . .
