Description

I'm not good with words but it is nice to give a try sometimes, who knows maybe I really come out with a good story from this. All of us know what to create a new picture or any other work means ... it is just ours! Once upon a time... ...We open a program in a white page (canvas), our colours, we get our pen and begin to create, to give shape to our ideas ... there we go... thoughts, tears, sweetness, happiness, stress, etc, a whole bunch of emotions come along, it's a new birth... Isn't that an important part of ourselves ? ... I'm also feeling that way just now, ( I bet you all know what I mean). Oh yes, we like to share with all the group but we don't want to be copied. It's not fair and even it's not a new problem , I know that, but we can't just stay with our arms crossed by or just looking to another side and permit this to continue... Creating... I am creating "for who" or for you?... it's no good pretending with us. Now I am sure with something and it's that: "I could say all this really loud... but not better!. Thanks ;O) And have a nice day Elizabeth (it's only some shy writing) And as a friend said once: "I just want you to think about the integrity of our group and how you want your ideas and art to be treated"

Wonderfully expressed Elizabeth. Our works of art are like our children, nourished and nurtured in our souls, incubating in our minds, growing and evolving in the womb of the open white sheet of paper .. or blank page in PSP or PS .. or whatever program we use to create with. Our work is infused with feelings and thoughts that are uniquely ours .. yet often experienced by so many of those who gaze on the finished piece .. to have someone steal that piece and desecrate it, it awful, unfeeling, and violating. Yet somehow I feel sorry for the person who has so little confidence in their own skills and imagination. But so sorry that I don't get upset and angry at the violation. Okay .. done with my little rant. I love the little piece of art .. a work in progress .. an idea still in the womb, growing, evolving ..

Very true words. I love your art and also think you are courageous to speak your heart. Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful art with us.

this is a complex issue. on one hand we create and have a sense of ownership with our creation. there is a huge body of national and international law on the subject. but the law is about property and ownership, not about art. art is completely worthless without a beholder. it is a conundrum. to share,in some way or part, is to relinquish ownership. payments seem to be the legal way of dealing with this issue. it so misses the point. as i am writing this i am huming 'yesterday' by the beatles. sir paul, oko, ringo and george's widow are not going to get a penny from me. that is the nature of art.
