Congratulations to outoftouch for receiving the 2011 Renderosity Vendor of the Year Award!![]() Vendor with the highest sales for 2011. It's no secret: give people what they want, and they will always come back for more. The Vendor of the Year continually provides a multitude of products that are almost always desired by the digital art community. Outoftouch continues their commitment to excellence by having another outstanding year in 2011.
This all started with the purchase of Victoria 3 when she was brand new. I used to rarely play around with Bryce and early versions of Poser, but, with the release of Victoria 3 and content, it finally totally caught my interest. I liked to be able to do my own stuff, like characters and makeups. So, my first product was created, a character package for Victoria 3, which is not available for sale anymore. You've had the honor of Vendor Of the Month several times now, and you were 2010's Vendor of the Year. To what can you credit your continued success? I can credit this to all the buyers who support me and always make me happy when I see they like what I do, and, of course, to all people in the community, especially the admins, who are always very helpful and cooperative. Through the creation process, from inception to finalization of the product, what is your favorite part and why? I have learned 3D modeling throughout the year, and I can now say it is 3D modeling which is my favourite part. I love to see how objects get in shape, this is a very creative process without limits. When you are working on a product, what would you say is the most difficult part? Most difficult part is actually the rigging process of Poser clothing. I always aim to have a perfect conforming fit for my outfits, so much time goes into this part. How much time goes into creating one of your products? It depends on the kind of product, but a textureset needs up to 10 - 15 hours, 2 - 3 days. A full clothing set needs upto 3 - 4 weeks, and a hair about 2 weeks. What is the very first thing you do before sitting down to work on a model or texture for the first time? The first thing is studying the UV Maps of the objects I want to texture. I do this every time and it is important for me to know which part on the UV Map belongs to which part on the object. It's obvious you consistently provide top-quality products. Would you consider yourself a perfectionist in your work? Yes! I always try to bring out the best out of every product and especially keep my eye on details. Can you list some of your personal favorites from your store and tell us a bit about them? ![]() WINTER DAZZLE WINTER DAZZLE - I always wanted to do some kind of fashion for heads to go with my FASHIONWAVE products or other casual clothing. Since it is always hard to fit a hat to hair properly I wanted to create matching hairstyles that fit those hats perfectly. This package turned out to be very versatile and it was fun to see how different the looks can be depending on the choice of hairs and hats. Another special option is the Poser fur that is included with the trapper hat. It was the first time I have made use of Poser hair in my products, it was amazing to see how this can actually change a model. ![]() STELLAS NIGHT STELLAS NIGHT - Once in a year it is tradition for me to create a special project for Halloween. Together with Freja we created the "Stella's Night" project, consisting of an amazing character by Freja, an outfit and a matching hair. We wanted to create something that looks cute but yet has some sexy anime facettes and is suitable for gothic and fantasy renders. This was the first bigger set of clothing I have modelled at that time and I have learned a lot while doing it. My favorite part of the outfit are the super thigh-high boots. ![]() SEXBOMB HAIR SEXBOMB HAIR - Since I have been working with Poser hair I wanted to do something wild and curly. It was a challenge to work with "real" curl models instead of simple flat strands but I'm really happy how it turned out. The look is bombastic and very different from other hairs I have worked on. ![]() TENSHI HAIR TENSHI HAIR - Tenshi Hair developed from a project that was created by RPublishing and Rhiannon. They asked me if I would like to join their project and do a matching hair to a very sexy anime outfit by Rhiannon and RPublishing and this is the result. Again another hair product that is super different from other hairs. I wanted to create a "real" anime look that looks anything but flat. It was fun working on it because it was so different to create. ![]() FASHIONWAVE COVERGIRL FASHIONWAVE COVERGIRL - This is the first product of my FASHIONWAVE product series, a series that has the aim of bringing new fashion to my product catalogue that is easy to mix and match with other outfit parts. The Covergirl product has a very fresh look with shorts, tanktop and a wide shirt. I can still remember the hot summer days that inspired me to do this outfit. ![]() ELECTRA 2011 ELECTRA 2011 - This is one of the first products we created in 2011. Electra 2011 actually is a continuation of the Electra project we created in 2010, but with a much sexier appeareance. The main inspiration for this project is the Steampunk theming, that brought us the leather / metal combination and those super crazy shoes. Bice did an amazing job modelling this! What do you enjoy doing when you're not hard at work creating great content? I love listening to music and also making music. I love watching movies, playing videogames, shopping and cooking. Do you have any advice for aspiring Digital Content Developers? What would you tell someone who wishes to become a vendor? Do the stuff you like most and put in everything you can to achieve a quality product. Never stop learning and experimenting, and always ask yourself: Would I buy my product? What could be done better? When you release a product, think about what you could have done better and keep it in mind for the next one :) Do you have any final words (any info you want to share with the community)? Yes! THANK YOU to everyone who supports my work and to all buyers! A big THANK YOU to the whole community and to all admins, thanks for your hard work! --------------------------------------------------------------------- Make sure you stop in and visit outoftouch's
